Senior Software Engineer, Marketing Platform Tooling

Description:
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Marketing Platform Tooling based in Canada.
This is a high-ownership backend engineering role focused on building the infrastructure that powers large-scale marketing and customer engagement capabilities.
You will work on production-grade targeting and CRM messaging platforms responsible for processing audience data and delivering millions of personalized messages. The role combines greenfield development with the evolution of critical distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and shared platform foundations. You will have direct influence over technical direction, architecture, roadmap decisions, and the reliability of systems used by multiple teams. The environment emphasizes scalability, observability, testing, operational excellence, and clean, maintainable code. You will collaborate extensively across engineering and business functions while owning projects and technical workstreams from planning through production.
