Hypertec is seeking a Accounting Technician to join our Construction team in Montreal . If you are motivated, collaborative, and aligned with our values, we would love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Contributing:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is received.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Project Controllers, and Project Managers to resolve invoice issues.
- Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and credit memos as required.
- Apply customer payments and assist with monitoring outstanding receivables.
- Process journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Maintain project cost records and ensure transactions are coded correctly.
- Support Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting by providing accurate accounting information.
- Maintain organized electronic documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
What Sets You Apart:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Experience in the construction industry is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
