Your opportunity:

Working under the general direction of the Director, Student Success and reporting to the Lead, Systems and Data Management, the Systems and Data Management Officer will provide systems support for the CLNx (Career and Co-Curricular Learning Network) and Folio. They will be responsible for system configuration, data management, user training, and reporting for Student Life at the St. George Campus. The Officer, working within a team, will be the main team member to configure systems, configure program workflows in Folio in consultation with staff members, assign roles and permissions, manage labels and apply filters within Folio,import student accounts, develop Power BI data dashboards, develop term and annual data reports, and provide ad hoc reporting for leadership. The Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the CLNx and Folio respond to user issues/bugs, as well as training new users on the systems. The Officer, working with the Lead, will consult with partners to understand their system and reporting needs, determine the appropriate configuration or reports required. The incumbent will develop system documentation, training modules and provide system demos. The Officer will backfill for the Lead as required, and update content on the system.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Configuring system features and applications; testing new software configurations; troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Analyzing and making recommendations for programming enhancements
• Assessing and determining methodologies for data retrieval and manipulation; overseeing the data collection and analysis process
• Producing complex statistical information; preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
• Generating reports; providing detailed information on data analysis findings to stakeholders
• Drafting and editing training content
• Training end-users on procedures and the use of IT supported systems
• Creating data dashboards for leadership

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years related experience
• Previous experience training co-workers on complex systems
• Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining complex database systems
• Experience configuring systems for end users
• Experience manipulating and analyzing large complex data sets
• Experience developing Power BI or Tableau data dashboards and visualizations, and reports
• Demonstrated experience managing large complex projects involving technology
• Experience working with databases, user experience, and/or logic trees
• Advanced skills in Power BI and/or Tableau
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (must be able to set-up templates and macros in Word and Excel, set-up Excel spreadsheets including formulas, and preparing sophisticated PowerPoint presentations
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively
• Must be flexible and adaptable with a high level of initiative and results orientation
• Demonstrated integrity, professional maturity, judgement, tact, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, with a proactive solution focus

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 12 -- $84,564 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $108,145. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
