SOC 299: Sociology of Mental Illness.
An examination of the social patterns of risk for mental illness. A comparative and critical assessment of the sociological, psychological and biological models of explanation and intervention. Position Requirements
- M.A. in Sociology or a related social science field required; Ph.D. preferred.
- Demonstrated competence to teach the course subject matter.
- Demonstrated successful experience in university-level teaching.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
This course is scheduled to be Face-to-Face in Saskatoon. The class is scheduled for Thursdays 1130-1415. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week.
Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
