Join a growing organization in commercial real estate financing, within a credit team based in the region with a national reach. This role places you at the heart of the analysis, structuring, and financing of commercial mortgage loans — with a fast pace and direct exposure to credit decisions.

Responsibilities — deliver solid credit analyses from start to close

• Conduct due diligence on the borrower, financial statements, and real estate asset to support well-founded credit decisions.
  
• Analyze asset value and structure the underwriting of commercial mortgage loans, including construction files.
  
• Simultaneously manage a double-digit volume of files at various stages, adhering to tight deadlines and a high standard of quality.
  
• Produce comprehensive financing deliverables (prequalification summaries, term sheets, credit presentations, commitment letters, buy sheets).
  
• Gather and validate prerequisites as well as legal documentation up to financing, ensuring rigorous follow-up on required elements.
  
• Interact with clients, conduct site visits, and collaborate with the credit committee to advance transactions.
  
• Monitor trends in the commercial mortgage market in the region and actively develop a network within the real estate ecosystem.
  

Profile sought — essential requirements for quick success in volume

• Have 2 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, with exposure to CMHC highly sought after.
  
• Master real estate market analysis (rental markets, appraisals, regional differences in the region).
  
• Demonstrate strong financial analysis, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Communicate fluently in writing and orally, in professional English (written and spoken) for files and exchanges on a Canadian scale; functional French highly preferred.
  
• Hold a bachelor's degree (ideally in business, finance, or a related field) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  
• Exhibit autonomy, reliability, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Collaborate naturally and aim for quality files, with an initiative and contribution mindset.
  

Conditions — compensation, schedule, and environment

• Offer a base salary between $60,000 and $70,000.
  
• Add a customary annual bonus of 30% to 50% of the base salary, linked to individual and company performance (historically paid as per the stipulated terms).

• Work on-site (5 days/week) in a 9 am to 5 pm paper-based setting, with intermediate hours per week on average.
