Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer (Toronto)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Developer to join a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy dynamic, responsive HTML email templates and content for various marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Content Builder and Email Studio.
• Implement sophisticated personalization using AMPScript, Server‑Side JavaScript, and data extensions to deliver tailored content based on subscriber data and behavior.
• Ensure emails render correctly and consistently across a wide range of email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.) and devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
• Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to integrate email campaigns with other Salesforce clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow.
• Conduct thorough testing, including rendering tests, link validation, and deliverability checks with tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid; perform A/B testing setup and analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to email rendering, tracking, data segmentation, and deliverability.
• Adhere to email marketing best practices, accessibility standards, and legal regulations such as CAN‑SPAM and GDPR.
• Continuously analyze campaign performance data to identify opportunities for improving email design, content, and deliverability.
• Maintain clear documentation for email templates, code libraries, and development processes.

Critical Qualifications

• Proven experience developing HTML emails with strong understanding of email‑specific CSS and limitations.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
• Proficiency in AMPScript for agile content and personalization.
• Familiarity with Server‑Side JavaScript.
• Knowledge of responsive email design techniques and frameworks.
• Experience with email testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid.
• Understanding of email deliverability principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with data structures within SFMC, including Data Extensions and Attribute Groups.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator).
• Adequate knowledge of French for positions in Quebec.

Location & Work Arrangement

Positions are based in Canada, with locations in Toronto, Mississauga, and Montreal. Hybrid work arrangement: candidates must be based in Canada and report to a Bell office at least three days a week.
