Lead Backend Engineer in B2B Fintech

Drive the transformation of business banking with Venn as a Lead Backend Engineer. Your mission will be to develop and scale groundbreaking financial products for Canadian businesses using the latest technologies. At Venn, recognized as Canada’s fastest-growing B2B fintech, you’ll lead initiatives in creating modern financial services. This role involves independent work, collaboration with diverse teams, and interaction with banking partners and APIs. Ideal candidates are proactive engineers with a history of creating user-friendly products in startup environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead development of essential financial service features
- Work with product, operations, and sales teams to enhance offerings
- Integrate external APIs for payments and financial tracking
- Operate autonomously while ensuring effective product delivery
- 5+ years of Java expertise and 6+ years in backend roles
- Strong skills in developing production-ready applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
