Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Job Skills / Requirements
- Process bi-weekly hourly payroll, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of timesheets, tickets, final payments and ROEs, and payroll-related tasks.
- Responsible for maintaining employee records and processing payments in accordance with Collective Agreements, as well as preparing and submitting monthly union remittances.
- Complete, review, and prepare payroll reports before and after each payroll cycle to support accurate processing and record-keeping.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from internal stakeholders and external agencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, identifying appropriate solutions to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 -2 years of payroll experience.
- Accuracy and speed in data entry are an absolute must.
- Knowledge of Payroll practices and CRA Legislation.
- Must be proficient with Excel ( especially Pivot and VLOOKUP ) and able to grasp new software easily.
- Eager to learn and ability to apply newly acquired skills for immediate results.
- Able to work independently and with a team to complete assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Completion or working towards Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) from the National Payroll Institute.
