Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Italian Language Teacher role based in Thunder Bay, ON. The Italian Language Teacher will design and deliver engaging Italian lessons to learners at various proficiency levels, using a mix of communicative activities, grammar instruction, and cultural content. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons and course materials, teaching group and individual classes, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues to develop curricula, participate in staff meetings or training sessions, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The role may include occasional participation in cultural events, workshops, or promotional activities related to Italian language and culture.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to adapt methods to different learning styles and levels.
- Experience with Lesson Planning and Education, including designing structured, goal-oriented classes and assessments.
- Background or interest in Literature and Italian culture to enrich classroom content and discussions.
- High proficiency in Italian (advanced or native-level) and strong command of English for clear instruction and communication.
- Relevant degree, diploma, or certification in Education, Italian, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and respectful teaching practices.
- Experience teaching in-person classes and using basic educational technology (e.g., presentations, online resources) is an asset.
