Investment Banking Associate - Real Estate Focus

Be a part of Desjardins’ Capital Markets as a Real Estate Associate in Toronto, driving corporate finance initiatives and supporting client transactions. This role includes both analysis and mentorship capabilities. We seek someone with a background of at least two years in the investment banking field to contribute to DCM's success in various high-profile transactions. In this role, you will create detailed financial models, perform industry research, and play a crucial role in developing client strategies. Your commitment and expertise will directly influence transaction execution and junior associate development. Key Responsibilities:
- Support proposals for mergers and acquisitions transactions
- Conduct industry research to identify business opportunities
- Develop sophisticated financial models for clients
- Liaise with teams for seamless transaction execution
- Prepare and present financial analyses and marketing materials
- Previous 2+ years in Investment Banking
- Strong grasp of valuation techniques and accounting practices
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
- Skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg
- Proficient in financial statement preparation
