Volkswagen Group Account Director

Lead Volkswagen brand strategy and social media from VML’s hybrid Type1 team, shaping culturally relevant work across the consumer journey.
VML seeks a senior Group Account Director to grow the Volkswagen account within Type1, its dedicated integrated team. You will guide client relationships, integrated campaigns, always-on social programmes, and account growth. The role connects brand thinking, social expertise, creative leadership, and commercial delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own senior Volkswagen client relationships as a trusted strategic advisor
- Lead integrated brand campaigns and always-on social programmes
- Navigate stakeholders around shared creative and commercial vision
- Mentor account teams and foster inclusive collaboration
- Oversee delivery, forecasting, resources, and account profitability
Requirements:
- Eight-plus years of account management experience
- Significant Director-level agency experience
- Large-scale brand and social account leadership
- Expertise across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Experience in matrixed, multi-agency environments highly desirable
