Overview

BI & DATA INTEGRATION DEVELOPER

Job ID: 6900 | REGULAR/FULL-TIME | Location: Burnaby, BC

Reporting to the Manager, Business Applications Development or Manager, Data Analytics and Integration, the BI and Data Integration Developer is responsible for designing and developing data analytics and integration solutions for both internal and external audiences. The role covers the solution development life cycle, ensuring deliverables meet specifications, integrity, and quality standards. The position provides 2nd level support primarily for the HIFIS (Homeless Individuals and Families Information System) program, including developing and maintaining Crystal reports, tuning reports for performance, and developing SQL queries for complex data requests. The role involves facilitating resolution of integration issues between source and target applications and working with data from multiple confidential business systems (HR, payroll, client management).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data analytics and data integration solutions to meet internal and external needs.
• Provide 2nd level support for the HIFIS program, including Crystal reports development and performance tuning.
• Develop SQL queries to support complex data requests and data extraction.
• Facilitate resolution of integration issues between source and target applications.
• Work with data from multiple confidential systems in accordance with security and privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science or other relevant fields.
• Considerable experience in small to medium projects with project managers, business analysts, developers, and users.
• Experience in reporting application development and data warehouse development projects.
• Experience in enterprise reporting, BI toolsets, and data integration.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.

• Knowledge of BI architecture, full lifecycle BI and integration development.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT design patterns.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytic models and work independently or in a team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with judgment and discretion.
• Criminal Record Check (Tier 1) and Enhanced Security Screening (Financial Inquiry) are required.

Compensation

Salary range: $92,145.79 – $106,699.96 annually. Actual salary offered commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity.
