WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Maintain a strong field presence, working directly with crews to discuss FLHAs, verify LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and support supervisors in real time
• Lead and support incident investigations, including documentation, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions
• Conduct air monitoring, hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and occupational hygiene reviews
• Develop and maintain Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safe work procedures
• Deliver engaging safety training, orientations, and refresher sessions for employees and contractors
• Perform regular audits and field assessments, proactively identifying risks and ensuring compliance
• Act as a trusted safety advisor, helping drive a proactive culture of care across all levels of the operation
• Manage safety equipment and PPE, ensuring readiness and compliance at all times

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• 5+ years of experience in industrial or mining environments, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working in underground and/or heavy industrial environments, with the ability to navigate uneven surfaces and wear PPE (including respirators)
• Strong working knowledge of LOTO procedures, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
• Proven ability to build relationships in the field and influence safe work practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting, documentation, and analysis
• A degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Sciences, or a related field is considered an asset
