Registered Nurse, Clinical Mentor

In accordance with the vision and values of the organization, the RN or RPN practices in line with the standards and code of ethics set by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) within a resident and family-centered care model.
In this role, you will work in a variety of clinical settings and be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of resident-centered care and assist residents and their families in responding to changing health care needs. You will apply a specialized body of knowledge grounded in nursing science and related disciplines.
Qualifications
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing RN or RPN
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in long-term care
- Post-basic education in gerontology is an asset
- Applicants must submit a resume
A first in Canada, minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPRs) are being introduced in British Columbia. Interior Health, along with other health authorities, is implementing this initiative to improve the nursing work environment and enhance patient care.
