Psychologist in Student Mental Health

Become a vital part of the Student Affairs team at the University of Ottawa as a Clinical Psychologist. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to support student mental health and wellbeing. As a Clinical Psychologist, your primary role is to assess and treat mental health conditions among students, providing individual and group therapy. You’ll collaborate with health professionals and train interns to foster clinical skills. Additionally, you'll develop wellness programs aimed at improving student resilience and wellbeing within a supportive community. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess psychological and behavioral issues in students
- Conduct psychological tests and evaluations
- Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs
- Lead workshops to promote mental health awareness
- Document treatments and revise plans based on patient progress
- Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience
- Bilingual in French and English
- Expertise in trauma-informed care and CBT
- Ability to effectively communicate within a team
