Senior Dot Net Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Dot Net Developer based in Canada.

This is an opportunity for an experienced full-stack engineer to build and enhance enterprise-grade applications using the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through testing, optimization, and deployment.
The role combines deep .NET expertise with hands-on Angular development and cloud engineering on Microsoft Azure.
You will work on complex, scalable solutions involving APIs, messaging services, databases, and modern application architectures.
As a senior technical contributor, you will be expected to make sound architectural decisions and solve challenging engineering problems independently.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using .NET technologies, C#, Angular, SQL Server, and related frameworks.
• Build and customize applications throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial architecture and development through testing, optimization, and deployment.
• Develop modern front-end experiences using Angular 8+ and demonstrate strong knowledge of lifecycle hooks, component communication, and data sharing.
• Develop and integrate Azure-based services, including Azure Functions, triggers, Service Bus, and Azure DevOps workflows.
• Design and implement APIs and application integrations using REST, RPC, messaging services, and appropriate architectural patterns.
• Apply established software architecture and design patterns, including MVC, DTO/domain model separation, and scalable application design principles.
• Optimize application performance across Angular, .NET, and database layers to ensure responsive and reliable solutions.
• Implement and maintain unit testing across both client-side and server-side applications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective and sustainable solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes, collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices.
• Apply strong technical judgment when building applications from scratch and delivering production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Around 10 years of professional .NET development experience, including at least 3 years of experience working with U.S.-based projects or environments.
• Proven experience as a full-stack .NET Developer with strong hands-on Angular development expertise.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, SQL Server, MVC, and common software design and architectural patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one .NET programming language, preferably C#, along with HTML5 and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, including Azure triggers and the ability to explain and select appropriate trigger types.
• Experience with Azure Service Bus and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of API and integration architectures, including REST and RPC.
• Strong understanding of message buses, message brokers, and cloud-based messaging services.
• Practical knowledge of Angular 8 or later, including lifecycle hooks and data-sharing techniques.
• Experience optimizing Angular applications, .NET services, and database performance.
• Demonstrated ability to build applications from scratch, particularly within the last two years.
• Strong understanding of full project lifecycle development and delivery.
• Experience with unit testing on both client and server sides.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Eligibility to work under applicable arrangements such as U.S. citizenship, Green Card, 1099, or independent contractor status.
