Senior Accounting Manager (CPA)

Overview We are seeking a highly qualified CPA-designated accountant to join our team as a Senior Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive accounting expertise, exceptional organizational abilities, and a strong capability to manage a diverse range of accounting functions within our expanding organization

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Oversee the management and processing of vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and address any discrepancies.
• Accounts Receivable: Direct the invoicing process, monitor payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables. Prepare aging reports and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
• GST Remittances: Prepare and file GST returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Analyze financial data to support informed business decisions and ensure accuracy.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.
• Inventory Management: Supervise and maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor inventory levels, conduct periodic audits, and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies. Prepare necessary documentation and provide support for both internal and external audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations. Develop and maintain accounting procedures and policies.
• Software Proficiency: Effectively utilize Profit Master accounting software, with additional knowledge of Sage 300. Manage data entry, report generation, and system updates. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to offer financial insights and support. Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff as necessary.

Communication: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, providing clear and accurate financial information to stakeholders and addressing any issues or concerns.

Qualificaitons

• Experience in the manufacturing industry is considered advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory and accounting systems with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and meet stringent accounting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
