We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Software Developer to drive the technical design, development, and delivery of large-scale, multi-client web applications. In this role, you will translate complex technical system specifications into secure, high-performing code while working closely with full-stack engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Operating across enterprise Java and Oracle database layers, you will engineer RESTful web services, secure communications pathways using modern protocols, and troubleshoot technical application challenges to ensure seamless system operations.

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite – 5 days/week required)

Responsibilities
Translate complex technical systems specifications into working, fully tested applications, detailed programming specs, and clean code.

Design, build, compile, and maintain data-driven programs while executing comprehensive unit tests.

Resolve and troubleshoot complex technical problems during software execution, implementation, data conversion, and system migrations.

Develop secure RESTful Web Services and APIs, managing security protocols, token-based authentication, and gateway configurations.

Perform database programming, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, PL/SQL scripts, and performance tuning for relational databases.

Collaborate with IT professionals across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within structured Agile methodologies.

Review, modify, and optimize product installation scripts, providing post-implementation support and post-go-live technical triage.

Conduct technical design walkthrough sessions with project teams and prepare complete system, user, and architectural documentation.

Qualifications
Application Design & Development Seniority: 10+ years of hands-on experience as a designer and developer for large-scale, multi-client web applications (Strictly Required).

Java & Relational Database Mastery: 10+ years of hands-on working experience in Java development coupled with Oracle or SQL databases (Strictly Required).

REST API & Web Services Depth: 5+ years of hands-on experience building RESTful Web Services and REST APIs (Strictly Required).

Security Gateways & Protocols: Practical knowledge of modern web security protocols and gateways, including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL Certificates (Strictly Required).

Agile Delivery Frameworks: Solid understanding and practical experience operating within Agile development methodologies (Strictly Required).

Soft Skills: Superior analytical reasoning, troubleshooting capabilities, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:
Experience conducting impact assessments and data conversions within Oracle application modules (such as AR, AP, GL, Collections, or Inventory).

Experience with Java/Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Unix shell scripting, or ETL/OBIEE data warehouse environments.

Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (such as AODA/WCAG guidelines).
