In this role, you will play a critical part in executing high-visibility regulatory reporting and remediation for Canada and U.S. operations. Working in a 100% back-office environment, you will independently perform data reviews, resolve discrepancies, and support FINTRAC Electronic Fund Transfer Reporting (EFTR) compliance. Responsibilities
Data Discrepancy & Alert Handling: Perform independent, thorough reviews of EFTR data discrepancy and data incompleteness alerts driven by regulatory and risk-based system rules.
Data Remediation: Analyze source documentation across transaction systems and records to determine accurate outcomes; remediate records by updating data fields in strict alignment with regulatory requirements.
Reconciliation & Verification: Validate data accuracy through strict reconciliation, verification, and exception handling within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Draft Requests for Information (RFIs) to internal partners to retrieve missing data, responding to internal inquiries professionally to resolve operational gaps.
Compliance, Risk & Continuous Improvement
Act as an operational subject matter resource for EFTR, providing technical guidance and issue analysis within the broader team.
Proactively identify, assess, and escalate data quality gaps, operational risks, or control weaknesses to maintain high compliance standards.
Support internal/external audits and regulatory reviews by maintaining an immaculate audit trail and providing supporting documentation.
Identify opportunities for workflow enhancements, automation, and process improvements to mitigate regulatory risk.

Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:
EFTR Experience: 1.5+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in FINTRAC EFTR regulatory reporting.
Financial Sector Background: 2–4 years of overall professional experience within a financial institution or corporate financial services environment.
Education: High School Diploma required (Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Finance, Business, or related discipline is an asset).
Technical Skills: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Operational Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to work independently on moderate-to-high complexity operational tasks with exceptional attention to detail and risk awareness.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Previous experience within a major Canadian bank or top-tier financial institution.
Knowledge of broader AML frameworks and Canadian/U.S. regulatory environments.
Soft Skills:
Strong team player with a positive, collaborative mindset.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle high volumes under tight regulatory deadlines.
Adaptable communicator capable of working closely with internal partners.
