We're looking for a Driver to join the Dal Food Services team at Dalhousie University! The Driver will report to the Vending Manager and be responsible for delivering, stocking, supporting, and working within all retail outlets across the Dalhousie Unviersity campus in Halifax.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up/deliver all products to food service locations across campus
• Support catering team with delivering catering supplies, including tables, chairs, linens and cutlery across campus
• Support catering team with delivering catering orders to clients across campus
• Pick up/drop off coin orders and cash deposits
• Adhere to all Aramark and Dalhousie University policies and procedures
• General preventative maintenance on vehicle (drivers checklist)
• Maintain safe and structured driving patterns (good driving habits)
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery driving, catering, food service considered an asset
• Valid Driver's License and clear Driver's Abstract is required
• Must maintain neat and professional appearance
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.  
• Must be adaptable, as priorities are subject to change throughout the day/week etc.
• Flexible schedule, as some evening and weekend work may be required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
