This is a unionized (L6500) permanent on-site position. The role follows a shift schedule, which may be days only or a rotating schedule of days and nights. This posting is for an existing position vacancy. As a Mill Utility Labourer, you will provide a full range of services while working according to the procedures and company policies, as well as ensuring efficient operations within a safety conscious environment. In this role you will report to the Mill Supervisor. Your experience and skills will allow you to use your previous experiences and skills to support the team in producing copper and nickel concentrates. Additionally, in this position you may be required to:

• Be committed to Safety
• Participate fully in the Vale Production System (VPS)
• Work independently and in a team environment

About You Education:

• Minimum Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency.

Experience:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in industrial settings, manufacturing, mining, mineral or metal processing plants or material handling is preferred.
• Heavy equipment experience is considered an asset.

Skills:

• Must be able to pass the required examinations, read and understand safety instructions, books of rules, instructions and regulations, timetables, bulletins, waybills, placards, and other written or printed material.
• Must have a good understanding of Safety and Environmental policy and procedures and ensure work is conducted accordingly.
• Ability to handle heavy physical work.
