Why This Role?

As a New Business Development Specialist , you’ll be on the front lines of growth, connecting with business leaders and introducing them to smarter, more effective benefits solutions. You’ll identify high‑potential prospects and book meetings for our licensed advisors, playing a critical role in helping organizations better support their people.

While this role is ideally suited for candidates located in the Barrie area, we welcome applications from qualified individuals across Ontario. Remote arrangements may be considered for candidates outside the Barrie area who are a strong fit for the team.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and prospect high‑potential businesses across Canada
• Initiate outreach through phone and email to start meaningful conversations
• Qualify leads and book appointments for our licensed sales advisors
• Track outreach activity, follow‑ups, and outcomes in our CRM
• Collaborate with teammates to share strategies, improve performance, and achieve team goals

Our Critical Competencies

You will succeed in this role if you are:

• KPI & Metric Deliverables: You demonstrate the consistent ability to meet or exceed monthly appointment quality and call volume targets through effective planning, execution, and performance management.

Compensation That Grows With You

Start at $50,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions. New hires can earn up to a $1,500 onboarding bonus spread across their first 3 months by hitting appointment targets, though on average only about half of new hires reach this bonus. Deliver 25 or more completed appointments in 3 consecutive months and your base salary increases by $5,000, bringing you to $55,000 annually. Add uncapped commissions and career progression for top performers, and this role rewards the reps who show up and perform.
