Non-Profit (NPO) Senior Bookkeeper

Do you have extensive knowledge and bookkeeping experience in the Non-Profit sector ? Intrinsic Bookkeeping & Business Solutions (Intrinsic) is looking for someone with a passion for the Non-Profits to join our Non-Profit bookkeeping team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). This person will have extensive experience in all aspects of the Non-Profit world, including grant funding and will understand the nuances that make bookkeeping for this sector unique. The ideal candidate likes variety and working in a growing and changing environment. The position is a remote position.

Intrinsic is a growing and dynamic bookkeeping and financial solutions firm with clients and team members currently spanning from B.C. to Ontario. The Intrinsic team is a diverse group of hard-working professionals. We focus our efforts on designing solutions that are responsive and forward-thinking for our clients' needs. We are a multi-client environment. (Each team member is assigned multiple sets of books to manage.) We are proud of the personal relationship that we build with each one of our clients. Required skills and experience to be successful:

• 
  Minimum of 10 years full-cycle bookkeeping experience, including year end preparation


• Minimum of 10 years Canadian Non-Profit bookkeeping experience


• Extensive experience with creating and managing Budgets and Forecasting


• Extensive experience managing Financial Grant reporting


• Experience with issuing donation receipts


• 
  Experience with QBO / QuickBooks Desktop


• Experience with Dext / Hubdoc, an asset


• Experience managing GST/HST and PST


• Exceptional organizational and time management skills


• Strong analytical and problem solving skills


• Detail oriented and accurate in task and completion
  


• Ability to work with, and improve, disorganized records
  


• Experience working in the Microsoft Office Suite of products, an asset

• Experience in a multi-client environment, required


• Experience tracking time between projects, an asset

• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Comfortable with technology and various accounting applications


• Patience and a sense of humour are essential


• CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) designation, a strong asset
