JOB SUMMARY: Each of our supervisors plays an integral role in leading staff within the Premium Service Department and for providing exceptional service to our fans and guests. With a positive energetic and enthusiastic approach, supervisors will build, coach and motivate high performing teams with a focus on excellence, passion and commitment to quality product and service. This is an hourly, events-based position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (other duties may be assigned as required) Lead your respective teams and provide ongoing coaching and recognition to team members to ensure excellent hospitality is provided and the fan experience is exceptional Contribute to building a high performance team by actively partnering with all staff of Rogers Arena REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with varied start times based on the needs of the event and with this being an event based business Must have a passion & commitment to work all Vancouver Canucks home games Must have a leading passion for the hospitality business and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the hospitality industry Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, and withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and oral format Must possess a demonstrated background in fine dining and Supervisory/Management skills: Able to lead and be part of a team Maintain and develop standards and coach for improved performance Able to maintain a calm demeanor and react appropriately and effectively to situations as they arise with minimal supervision Able to make decisions independently with minimal supervision Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while keeping composure and leading a team of staff as well as maintaining a first-in-class food and beverage experience Demonstrate excellent on-the-spot problem solving skills, including the ability to independently handle service recovery situations to a fan's satisfaction Basic computer skills with functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Wine knowledge is an asset Completion of Serving it Right certificate If you are a Non-Canadian resident, you must hold a valid work permit that expires no earlier than August 2020 Interested, qualified candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter by clicking the "Apply Now" button at the top of the page.
