Regional Environmental Health Safety Manager
Johnson Controls
Lead regional Environmental Health and Safety strategy remotely with Johnson Controls, emphasizing incident investigations and Ontario compliance. Travel across Ontario and Manitoba supports field operations.
This manager directs EHS initiatives and supports regional, area, branch, and project teams. The work includes COR certification, WSIB claims, workers’ compensation, and injury prevention. Success requires operational leadership across multi-site environments while aligning performance with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct regional implementation of Johnson Controls’ EHS strategy
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Deliver targeted EHS training based on identified needs
- Conduct audits and track improvement plans with leadership
- Manage WSIB claims through return-to-work coordination
Requirements:
- Occupational Health and Safety certificate, diploma, or degree
- Seven to ten years of EHS experience
- COR Certified Auditor with seven-plus years’ experience
- Knowledge of Ontario OHSA, WSIB, and Manitoba legislation
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel thirty to forty percent
