Operations Specialist

Legacy Freight Global is a 3PL specializing in the movement of freight across North America. Leveraging industry expertise, technology, and strong carrier partnerships, we provide reliable transportation solutions across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, including FTL, LTL, temperature-controlled, drayage and intermodal.

We’re growing quickly and making our first hire! We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Carrier Sales & Operations Specialist to help build and strengthen our operations function. This is not a role on an established team — it’s an opportunity to shape how our operations run, work directly alongside leadership, and have a meaningful impact as we scale!

The ideal candidate has experience in a 3PL environment, strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. freight markets, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth logistics environment.

What you'll do:

• 2–5+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, logistics coordination, dispatch, or a similar 3PL environment.
• Strong understanding of OTR freight pricing and transportation markets in Canada and the United States.
• Experience managing cross-border, domestic Canadian, and domestic U.S. shipments.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build strong carrier relationships.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with TMS platforms and multiple technology systems.
• A proactive, accountable, and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems when shipments don’t go as planned.
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

• Strong understanding of transportation operations, carrier management, and industry practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment.
• Comfortable working with multiple technology platforms and TMS systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with carriers and customers.
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
