Our client, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager. This role leads the accounting function, ensuring full-cycle accounting, internal controls, and financial operations are executed accurately and in a timely manner for the organization. Responsibilities
• Lead and manage full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting

• Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls across accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets
• Develop, document, and standardize operating procedures for key finance and accounting workflows
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Directly guide and assist with operational accounting tasks, including high-volume bank reconciliations and invoicing clean-up
• Coordinate and prepare accurate schedules and documentation to support year-end audit and review engagements
• Provide strategic financial insights and reporting to on-site management and remote leadership to support decision-making

Qualifications
• At least 5 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of experience within the trucking or transportation industry
• Hands-on experience establishing internal controls, SOPs, and financial processes
• Demonstrated ability managing month-end close, bank reconciliations, and audit preparation
• Experience or proficiency with TruckMate software is strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
