Pastry Second Cook at Fairmont Chateau Laurier

Join the Fairmont Chateau Laurier team as a Pastry Second Cook in Ottawa. Engage in a creative culinary environment and showcase your pastry skills with high standards. This position reports to the Culinary Leadership Team and focuses on preparing, cooking, and serving exquisite food items for various menus. You will provide professional and friendly guest service while working cohesively with team members and ensuring a clean kitchen environment. Compliance with safety and sanitation policies is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a la carte and buffet menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Support fellow colleagues and deliver professional guest service
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of menu items and features
- Follow kitchen policies and safety standards consistently
- Previous culinary experience is required
- Journeyman's papers or culinary diploma an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Capability to focus on guest satisfaction at all times
