Area Lead Support – Rainbow Greenhouses

Rainbow Greenhouses is hiring an Area Lead Support to assist our merchandising at Walmart's throughout the busy spring season and beyond.

This position could transition into a full-time role during the outdoor season and averages a minimum of 12 hours per week outside that period.

About the Role

This support position adapts to both seasonal and daily demands. You will:

• Step in when merchandisers are unavailable.
• Assist Area Leads during peak workloads and vacations.
• Help troubleshoot store-level issues as they arise.
• Personally merchandise a small set of home stores year-round, ensuring quality, consistency, and visual excellence.

During the spring season, this role could becomes full-time due to increased product volume and Walmart's Store needs. Outside of spring, hours transition to a lighter, steady weekly rhythm.

Success in this position requires strong communication, dependable follow-through, and comfort working in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover Walmart store visits when team members are sick or unavailable
• Support Area Leads during vacations and peak workload periods
• Resolve Walmart store-level issues quickly and professionally
• Merchandise and care for plants in assigned home Walmart stores
• Organize and maintain displays to meet company standards
• Communicate updates and feedback to Area Leads and leadership
• Travel between multiple store locations as needed (mileage reimbursed)
• Maintain a flexible schedule that adapts to shifting priorities
• Carry a phone for timely communication (monthly phone stipend provided)

What You Bring

• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable with changing schedules
• Strong problem-solving skills with a calm, steady approach
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Excellent communication and a team-first mindset
• Physically capable of lifting, moving product, and completing store visits
• Experience in merchandising or retail is an asset
• Steel-toed shoes required
• Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle required

Compensation and Perks

• $18–$20 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement: $0.38 per kilometer
• Monthly phone stipend: $12.50
• Schedule: During the spring season, this role could becomes full-time; flexible part-time hours the rest of the year
