Laboratory Team Lead

Job Responsibility:

Laboratory Team Lead

The Laboratory Team Lead is an intermediate role in the laboratory. The position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of laboratory station operations. This position is given direction from the Lab Supervisor and/or Manager and provides direction to lab staff.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Laboratory Technician Duties as required
• Ability to perform and mentor on all aspects of Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures and provide technical assistance for the lab or station
• Communicate lab daily activities and recommendation for improvement to Lab management
• Maintain lab instrumentation
• Assist in root cause analysis and provide recommendation to Lab Management
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma or degree in Science required
• Experience in fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement is essential
• 3+years hands on laboratory experience in a senior role
• Ability to problem solve, coach, and organize
• Knowledge of full laboratory processes
• Advanced Computer Skills
• Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
