This role gives you the opportunity to make a positive impact by leveraging your expertise in commercial real estate transactions, business development and client relationship management in a fast-paced brokerage and advisory environment.

Your Job

• Lead and mentor junior brokers and analysts, providing guidance on underwriting, transaction execution, client management and professional development while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture and sharing market intelligence and best practices.
• Originate and execute brokerage and advisory mandates by developing relationships with property owners, institutional investors, private capital groups, real estate investment trusts, developers and other industry participants.
• Build and expand our Western Canada real estate brokerage platform by developing client relationships, sourcing opportunities and executing strategic business development initiatives that strengthen our market presence and transaction pipeline.
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to clients and internal stakeholders across a broad range of real estate investment and financing transactions.
• Represent NBCCM at industry events, conferences and client meetings, leveraging your established commercial real estate network to strengthen our profile and generate new business opportunities.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and take an entrepreneurial approach to business development, helping shape the long-term growth strategy of the brokerage platform.

Your Team

NBCCM is a fully integrated investment dealer with capabilities in Canada and internationally. Its Investment Banking group includes more than 170 professionals across Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and New York.

Within the Real Estate Investment Banking group, you are part of the Real Estate Property and Mortgage Brokerage platform. The team provides corporate finance, investment banking, property brokerage and mortgage brokerage services to clients across Canada. Real estate brokerage services are currently offered in Alberta, Ontario and Québec, while mortgage brokerage services are offered nationally.

Based in Calgary, you will contribute to the continued expansion of our real estate advisory and brokerage activities across Western Canada. You will work in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where you can develop longstanding client relationships, contribute to the growth of the platform and support emerging talent.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of commercial real estate brokerage experience.
• Alberta real estate broker licence issued by the Real Estate Council of Alberta.
• Proven track record of originating and executing commercial real estate transactions while developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Well-established network within the Alberta and Western Canadian commercial real estate markets.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring professionals and contributing to team growth and development.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build, grow, and lead a business within a dynamic and evolving platform.
• Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and business development skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while effectively leading multiple concurrent initiatives.
