System Engineer

Kinitics is seeking a System Engineer to join our growing team of engineers and technicians at our Vancouver Head office . We are looking for an experienced team member that can take ownership of the engineering design process from initial system requirements through to a detailed design package and functional commercial samples. The ability to apply system level design, simulation, and analysis to generate and communicate electrical, mechanical, and software requirements down to team members and then evaluate and integrate their deliverables into the overall system solution is key to the role. How you will contribute:

• Operate as a hands-on lead with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians to deliver a whole product solution. You will be managing the process and coordinate work through other team members.
• You will participate in Designing new products and Improve legacy products.
• Verify designs using engineering tools.
• Coordinate prototyping and testing of design concepts.
• Strong electrical and software credentials would be an asset.
• Investigate design related issues and develop effective solutions.
• Develop and analyze physics-based system models that replicate real-world behaviour.
• Lead assembly of electro-mechanical prototypes.
• Conduct multi-discipline DFMEA and design reviews.

What you would bring to the team:

You will be coordinating your system engineering responsibilities with other team leaders . To function effectively you will need:

· Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or PEng).

· Minimum 5 years technical work experience, ideally in a production environment using fabrication techniques (turning, milling, casting, and extruding).

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.

· Detail oriented and capable of delivering high-quality, competitive, and compliant solutions.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and system simulation software.

Pay: $65,989.18-$145,453.24 per year
