MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a  Business Systems Analyst for a 6 month contract role with a client of ours located in Vancouver

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle for RFID implementation across North America
• Develop, manage, and maintain traceability between business requirements, functional specifications, and technical solutions
• Define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to support engineering and QA delivery
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of requirements across all scenarios, including edge cases and failure states
• Document end-to-end workflows including:
  • Receiving
  • Cycle counting
  • Replenishment
  • Inventory reconciliation
• Create detailed system and data flow diagrams showing integrations across POS, RFID platforms, middleware, and upstream/downstream systems
• Own data mapping and message schema definition for RFID-related integrations
• Confidently facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders
• Proactively identify when workshops, reviews, or design sessions are required and drive them independently
• Drive alignment and sign-off across stakeholders to unblock delivery
• Actively contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery execution
• Ensure all requirements are build-ready and testable prior to sprint commitment
• Support QA through clear documentation, test scenarios, and acceptance validation
• Proactively identify Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID)
• Partner with Product Manager to escalate and resolve blockers in a timely manner
• Facilitate product demos and walkthroughs for business stakeholders and field teams
• Ensure solutions are operationally viable and aligned with real store workflows
• Meticulous at maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation in Confluence
• Hold a high bar for documentation standards and enforce consistency across the team
• Maintain high-quality Jira hygiene including

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in complex, multi-system environments (retail, supply chain, or similar)
• Experience in large-scale system implementations (RFID, POS, inventory systems, or similar)
• Strong experience in process modeling, system integration, and data mapping
• Proven ability to operate autonomously and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and bring structure to complex initiatives
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence with strong documentation discipline
• Experience facilitating workshops with both business and technical audiences
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Demonstrated ability to translate store operations workflows into system requirements
