MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Business Analyst – Data for a 7 month contract role with a client of ours located in Vancouver.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the discovery of new data foundational and/or business-initiated projects and gathering requirements using effective business analysis techniques
- Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a conduit between stakeholders and the technical squad including Architect, Technical Team etc.
- Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents
- Creating understandable visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences
- Documenting business processes during the investigation and discovery with stakeholders or other parties to create certified documents used by the enterprise in terms of functional knowledge
- Organizing and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users
- Identifying and documenting current and future business process, changes, and improvements to facilitate change management
- Facilitating and managing stakeholder engagement
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, related to Data & Analytics
- Experience with working in Agile/waterfall methodologies
- Familiar with the Data & Analytics product lifecycle
- Possess a high level of analytical and critical thinking
- Solid understanding of data models (ERDs)
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Experience working in Power Automate
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders to be able to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems, and business requirements efficiently
- Strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities
- Ability to understand the business processes in the technical landscape of Data & Analytics and help translate into an actionable document for the development team
- Experience using JIRA
