Company Description
The Town of Stony Plain is the local government authority responsible for planning and delivering municipal services in Stony Plain, a Canadian urban community of approximately 18,000 people on the traditional Indigenous lands of Treaty 6 peoples.
The Stony Plain Golf Course is currently seeking motivated and dependable Maintenance workers to join our team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the high standards and overall appearance of the golf course.
We are seeking a candidate who can:
- Perform general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, and turf maintenance
- Safely operate small and medium-sized motorized and non-motorized equipment
- Work early mornings and commit to weekend shifts
- Maintain all areas of the golf course, including bunkers, greens, and surrounding grounds
- Take pride in maintaining a high standard of course appearance
Qualifications
Conditions of Employment
- C.S.A. steel-toed boots
- A clean Criminal Records check
- Copy of Drivers License and Drivers Abstract
- Current First Aid certification would be considered a definite asset
Additional Information
These positions may involve a rotational work schedule. Hours of work will vary based on weather and workload, averaging approximately 40 hours per week, with weekends remaining a primary part of the schedule. The hourly rate of pay ranges from $16.32 - $24.48 based on experience.
