Mental Health Capacity Building School Coordinator

Saskatoon Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative School Coordinator to support the Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) program. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position, commencing as early as August 27, 2026.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination for the development and implementation of mental health promotion and prevention strategies in school communities.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Lead, supervise, and coordinate MHCB program staff and activities.

Develop and implement service plans aligned with MHCB objectives.

Engage stakeholders and foster collaborative partnerships with schools, SHA, and community agencies.

Ensure high-quality, consistent programming that meets the needs of school communities.

Monitor, assess, and report on program effectiveness and financial accountability.

Maintain compliance with SHA funding agreements, data privacy regulations, and applicable legislation.

The successful candidate will have:

A related post-secondary degree or diploma in health or social sciences (e.g., health promotion, social work, psychology).

At least 3 years of experience in mental health promotion or addiction prevention.

Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.

Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with schools and community partners.

Experience in program development and evaluation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of social media tools is an asset.

A satisfactory criminal record and vulnerable sector check and where applicable, proof of licensure with a regulatory body.
