Finance Clerk

Position Summary
The Finance Clerk will provide financial and payroll support to the organization and assist with the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related administrative duties. The successful candidate will have strong accounting and payroll knowledge and experience working with accounting and payroll systems.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Payroll: Process payroll deductions & remittances, maintain records & reports, accounts receivable transactions, Reconciliation accounts
2. Accounts Payable: Receive, review, and process invoices for payment in accordance with policies and procedures.
3. Employee Benefits: Administer and maintain records of employee group benefits (health, dental, pension, life insurance, etc.).
4. General Administration and Finance Support: Support payroll staff with employee information related to benefits.

Qualifications
* Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Previous experience working in an accounting or finance position.
* Payroll processing experience is required.
*Experience using Sage 300 accounting software is required.
* Completion of PCL is highly preferred.
* Completion of Payroll Fundamentals 1 and 2 is preferred.
* Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is preferred.
* Strong understanding of payroll procedures, deductions, remittances, and payroll reporting.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and employee information.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* An Acceptable Criminal Record Check
