Senior Privacy Counsel at Prospeo

Take charge of privacy regulations with Prospeo as their Senior Privacy & Commercial Counsel. This fully remote position involves managing compliance and commercial contracts in a fast-growing environment. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the daily privacy program and establish scalable systems for data requests, ensuring compliance with laws like GDPR and CCPA. Additionally, you will draft and negotiate commercial contracts and serve as the internal legal resource. As the first dedicated legal hire, you'll operate autonomously while reporting to the co-founders. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day privacy program for compliance
• Handle data subject access and deletion requests
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts effectively
• Advise on legal risks in product and sales decisions
• Coordinate with external counsel for legal matters Requirements:
• Law degree and bar admission in Canada
• CIPP/E certification required
• 4+ years of relevant privacy and commercial experience
• Strong contract negotiation skills
• Fluent professional English proficiency Lead privacy initiatives and foster compliance while driving Prospeo's growth as a key legal professional.
