Claims Creation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Claims Creation Specialist based in Canada. This role supports national claims operations by ensuring new claims are accurately and efficiently created each day. You will triage incoming claims, maintain data integrity, and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers. The position combines administrative coordination, customer service, technology-enabled workflows, and operational support. You will work with multiple departments and stakeholders to address client needs and maintain service standards. The role also involves operating and monitoring robotic process automation (RPA) tools and coordinating with IT when issues arise. Accountabilities: - Triage incoming claims and ensure new claims are accurately set up on a daily basis. - Complete timely claim setup for multiple insurers and branches across Canada while following established operational guidelines. - Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers and coordinate with other departments to address client needs. - Perform data integrity activities, including daily opened-claim reporting, SLA reviews, and catastrophe-related data checks. - Operate RPA processes and collaborate with IT to ensure automated workflows and related system components are functioning properly. - Participate in cross-training with the IMS team and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization. - Assist with training new hires and other internal customers on relevant processes and systems. - Support miscellaneous operational projects and take on additional responsibilities as required. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in an administrative, operational, or support role.

- Previous experience or exposure to the insurance industry is preferred. - Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software, databases, and technology-enabled processes. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical, creative approach to overcoming operational barriers. - Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a changing environment. - Ability to manage direction from multiple sources, balance competing priorities, and remain effective when priorities conflict.
