Collections Account Specialist – Commercial & Consumer Accounts

CMC Credit Management Corporation is a national leader in debt recovery, with over 25 years of experience helping businesses, municipalities, and utilities manage their receivables. We’re looking for a Collections Account Specialist to join our team and play a key role in helping clients recover overdue accounts while maintaining professionalism and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent commercial and consumer accounts from initial contact to resolution.
• Conduct outbound and inbound calls, email, and written communication to negotiate payment plans, settlements, or dispute resolutions.
• Apply advanced skip-tracing techniques to locate and contact hard-to-reach debtors.
• Ensure strict compliance with federal/provincial regulations, client standards, and industry best practices.
• Accurately document account activity in CMC’s CRM and prepare reports for clients.
• Consistently meet or exceed assigned recovery targets and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Professional collections experience (third-party agency or in-house credit/collections).
• Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of securing payments.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (provincial licensing, consumer protection acts, privacy standards).
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

• Permanent, full-time employment (37.5 hours per week, M–F).
• Competitive salary: $45,000 – $47,500 plus possible profit sharing.

Education
