Merck seeks a Key Account Manager for its Companion Animal Business Unit to develop and manage strategic accounts across Canada. The role involves building long-term client relationships, implementing account growth plans, and collaborating across sales, marketing, and veterinary services teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement key account management model within Companion Animal Business Unit accounts
- Develop deep understanding of customer needs and create differentiated value propositions
- Establish relationships and partnerships with emerging and established key accounts
- Coordinate account sponsorships, conferences, promotional initiatives, and related projects
- Provide targeted sales support for key accounts including client visits and deal execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business management, or related field
- Strong experience in animal health product sales or equivalent key account management experience
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to close complex, large-scale deals
- Proven success managing accounts and building client relationships at multiple levels
- Analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to collaborate with and influence multidisciplinary teams
- French fluency required for Quebec-based candidates
Compensation: $81,280–$121,920 CAD base
