I am currently looking for a Collections Specialist for one of my clients, a company operating in the distribution sector. This is a permanent position based in Ville Saint-Laurent, offering a hybrid work model with 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the office per week.

Our client, a well-established company in its industry, is currently seeking a Bilingual Collections Specialist to join its Credit and Collections team in Ville Saint-Laurent. As part of a team restructuring, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio primarily composed of clients located in the Ottawa region.


Responsibilities
Manage the collection of commercial accounts and perform follow-ups with customers by phone and email.
Oversee an accounts receivable portfolio and ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing issues and customer disputes.
Research, allocate, and apply customer payments across the company's various systems.
Maintain accurate and detailed collection notes and account records.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of collection processes and payment practices.

Candidate Profile
Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable.
Bilingual in French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing commercial accounts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with account reconciliations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work in an environment utilizing multiple systems and applications.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Assets
Experience in a B2B environment.
Knowledge of credit analysis.
Experience managing a high volume of customer accounts.
