Position summary

The Occupational Therapist will work at the Mackenzie Health Hospital in the  ( inpatient: neuro, cardiac, surgical, medicine, ortho, rehab, ER, ICU). unit. 

Casual weekdays (Mon-Fri)- Acute Care & Post Acute care units

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments
• Formulating goals and recommendations
• Planning and implementing client-centered, goal-directed treatment programs

Requirements

• A graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy and are a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO registration)
• Recent experience in managing patients in acute/rehab or community-based rehabilitation programs is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team while supporting positive client outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of community resources is an asset
• Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• A positive work and attendance record is essential

• Ability to adapt to new computer applications
