Data Engineer For Cloud Processing Toronto

Join the Platform team in Toronto as a Data Engineer. Leverage your skills in data processing and contribute to transformative tools for a billion customers worldwide.
You will play a central role in developing and optimizing data processing pipelines on Google Cloud. This position emphasizes collaboration with product owners and engineers to enhance the company’s data ecosystem and improve developer experience across the board.
Key Responsibilities Create batch and real-time data processing tools on Google Cloud
Work with engineers to deliver significant data feature updates
Enhance the data processing platform to satisfy evolving needs
Promote best practices and improve tooling across the ecosystem
Assist in developing AI systems to utilize data infrastructure
Requirements 3+ years in data engineering or related fields
Familiar with building data pipelines using programming languages
Knowledge of data structures and systems design
Comfortable with distributed cloud environments
Experienced in Python or JVM-based frameworks like Dataflow
