Forklift Operator (Afternoon Shift)

Position Purpose

Play an important role in warehouse operations by ensuring the safe receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping of goods while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload, move, store, and load merchandise.

• Verify that received products and quantities are accurate and compliant.

• Prepare orders according to customer requirements.

• Locate and store pallets within the warehouse.

• Verify shipment accuracy before dispatch.

• Operate equipment and use safety devices in accordance with established procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Comply with OHS, HACCP, BRCGS, and established quality standards.

What Will Help You Succeed

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

• Experience handling large or bulky loads.

• Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.

• Comfortable working in refrigerated or frozen environments.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to work safely at heights.

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.

Skills Required for the Position

• Safely operate forklifts and/or material handling equipment.

• Use RF scanners and inventory management systems.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.

• Be responsible and reliable in carrying out assigned duties.

• Collaborate effectively with team members.

• Show flexibility and adapt to changing operational priorities.

• Exercise sound judgment and work independently when completing tasks.

Position Requirements and Working Conditions

• Regular physical work.

• Handling loads weighing up to 30 kg (66 lbs).

• Working in refrigerated or frozen environments.

• Occasional work at heights.

• Work schedule may vary based on operational requirements.
