Expediter / Driver - Remote Work Camps (Part-Time, As-Needed)

About the Role:
Fireweed is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Expediter/Driver to support our operations in the Yukon Territory. This position involves transporting staff and supplies to and from remote work camps across the region. The role is part-time, on an as-and-when-needed basis , and ideal for someone with flexible availability who enjoys driving and working in a dynamic northern environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport staff, materials, and supplies to various camp locations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and equipped for remote travel.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo as required.
• Follow established routes and schedules while adapting to changing road and weather conditions.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and delivery documentation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (Class 4 or higher considered an asset).
• Clean driver’s abstract (must be provided prior to hire).
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada .
• Experience driving in winter and remote road conditions is required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in varying conditions.

Additional Information:

• Work is based out of Whitehorse, YT , with travel to field locations as required.
• Schedule is casual and demand-based , depending on operational needs.
• Accommodations and meals are provided when overnight stays are required.
