About the Opportunity
Banyan Gold Corp. is seeking a carpenter/camp maintenance worker to support maintenance and various projects during exploration activities at the AurMac Gold Project. Scheduling is flexible depending on location of the applicant.
What You Will Do
- Build core shacks, boot rooms, etc.
- Execute maintenance and repairs on buildings.
- Perform carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor electrical repairs.
- Assist in various daily tasks around camp (i.e. dump run, water run).
- Execute maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Drive shuttle to and from Whitehorse.
- Maintain roads, clear debris, and handle seasonal tasks.
- Monitor and service power generators, propane levels, and water/sewage systems.
- Follow all safety procedures while on site.
Skills needed
- Class 5 or class 3 licence with clean record mandatory.
- Knowledge in carpentry.
- Ability to work with others and as part of a team.
- Knowledge in trucks and heavy equipment mechanic an asset.
- Show initiative and interest in learning new things.
- Local applicants will be considered first.
