We’re seeking a Chef de Cuisine to join us at Bluebird! Welcome to Bluebird, a wood-fired steakhouse featuring the best of Alberta beef including your favorite classic cuts and all-day-roasted Prime rib. Bluebird is where brunch and cocktails collide into fireside lunch which glides into happy hour and then swooshes into dinner where the après begins. Chef de Cuisine
The Chef de Cuisine plays a key leadership role in the overall success of the restaurant, working in close collaboration with the General Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing inventory, optimizing food and labour costs, and ensuring a consistently exceptional guest experience that aligns with company values. The Chef de Cuisine works closely with the front-of-house team to maintain seamless service and is an active participant in strategic decision-making with the executive team.

What You’ll Do:

• If it’s happening in the kitchen, you are a part of it! Planning, executing, elevating - you do it all
• You don't shy away from working with various types of technology and systems, including the ability to troubleshoot, update, and train others on the use of
• You do what it takes to increase sales and minimize costs without compromising quality
• As a leader within BHC, you’ll also be an ambassador of our employer brand, always being on the lookout for top talent and assisting with hiring amazing people to join the family, specifically on the kitchen team

What You Have:

• Proven success in a Chef de Cuisine or similar role with some formal training
• Flexible schedule required
• Food Safety and WHMIS certification required (we can help you get certified if needed)
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying calm under pressure
