Director Strategic Pricing

AstraZeneca seeks a Director of Strategic Pricing to lead pricing strategy development and team management for its pharmaceutical portfolio in Canada. This senior leadership role drives pricing innovation, payer negotiations, and compliance while overseeing a team of pricing professionals.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the strategic pricing team, fostering innovation and aligned culture
Establish forward-thinking pricing strategies for list and net pricing across portfolio brands
Develop deal structures and contracting solutions for payer negotiations
Lead early asset input to shape pricing and commercial potential
Ensure adherence to global pricing policies and manage exception processes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in quantitative field; MBA preferred
7–10+ years pharmaceutical experience in market access and pricing strategy
Deep knowledge of Canadian payer environment and PMPRB regulations
Proven team leadership and people management experience
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with business credibility
Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
Ability to synthesize complex information and develop results-oriented solutions
