Entry-Level Rebar Fabrication Labourer
We are currently hiring Entry-Level Rebar Fabrication Labourers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications & Education
- Basic math skills required (ability to calculate bar measurements).
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
This is an entry-level position. Successful candidates may be trained to operate the following equipment:
- Operate a bender to fabricate reinforcing steel to required dimensions.
- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
- Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select materials for fabrication or shipping.
- Unload trailers and store materials in designated storage bins.
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the shop or designated area.
- Assist other team members with various production tasks as needed.
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with company vision and values.
Physical Requirements
- Some heavy lifting may be required.
- Work environment may be noisy, dusty, and subject to hot or cold temperatures.
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment with exposure to elements.
Special Requirements
- Overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
- Must be able to work any shift as required.
- Must follow all shop safety policies and procedures.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Schedule
- Standard shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (including 30-minute lunch)
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as needed
Compensation
- Starting wage: $22.00 per hour
